DATE AND LIME CHUTNEY
INGREDIENTS
Dates seeded 300 grams
Lime pickle 12 numbers
Vinegar 01 tea cup
Sugar 250 grams
Chili powder 04 tablespoons
METHOD
Soak the dates in the vinegar and leave aside covered for one (01) hour to soften. Remove all the seeds from the lime pickle. Combine the dates, lime pickle, sugar and chili powder. Blend this to a fine smooth paste. Put this into a cast iron pan, thatchi or kadai and keep on medium flame. Keep stirring from time to time using a wooden ladle and after ten (10) minutes remove from the stove. Allow complete cooling and store in sterilized jars and refrigerate.
